Five horses sold to Helgstrand Dressage

Two of them are leaving this week.

Last week Anna hosted a two-day training camp for the Danish national dressage team, where Andreas Helgstrand participated wih his horse Fiontini, and before leaving he wanted to know which horses was for sale.

The result was Andreas Helgstrand leaving Haderslev owning no less than five more horses. That means Falcon, Tiara, Unika, Valencia and Quadron will be leaving Kasprzak Dressage. Anna is very happy about selling five horses as her business is focusing more and more on breeding.

“It feels great to sell five horses, but I also have mixed feelings about it, because the deal with Andreas went fast. But we have to look forward, and next year we are breaking in five youngsters and getting nine new foals, so we need the space,” Anna says. One of the five just-sold horses is Falcon from her first generation of breeding projects. Born in 2015 and have been doing great as a dressage horses, and now the time was right to sell him.

“When selling a horse, we always have to evaluate if the time is right, because keeping them for too long can be risky business too. And in this business we also need liquidity, and then you have to say goodbuy to good horses,” Anna says.

Falcon and Unika are moving this week, while Valencia and Quadron are staying until next summer before moving. Last but not least Tiara is qualified to the finals in the Danish Young Horse Championship together with Josefine Hoffmann. Therefore Tiara is staying at Kasprzak Dressage until after the finals, where Josefine will compete with her.
