Christmas greetings from Future Dressage

2023 is approaching, and we look back on the year that has passed.

In February we sold RGS Finest Alegra. The mare came to Future Dressage from JE Horses in December 2020 and has been ridden by Josefine Hoffmann. Alegra was sold to the talented junior rider Sophia Obel.

In March, the mares Rosie K. and Roxette competed in the Danish Warmblood Young Horse Championship – both with Josefine Hoffmann as the rider. The two mares had arrived at Future Dressage 14 days prior to the show, but despite that both of them made a good results, with Roxette coming 13th and Rosie K. coming 14th.

At the Danish National Championship in June, Anna Kasprzak participated with Addict de Massa, and they ended up in fifth place in the final, where they made a fantastic result in their first Freestyle together scoring over 80 per cent. In Sweden at Falsterbo Horse Show, Anna and Addict also won the Nations Cup together with Daniel Bachmann Andersen, Nadja Aaboe Sloth and Nanna Merrald, ahead of Holland and Sweden as number two and three. Anna and Addict also participated in their first World Cup qualification this year in Herning in October, finishing ninth.

In addition to Addict de Massa, Anna also continues to ride Rock Star, as well as two young talented horses: Everian L, who came to Future Dressage in December 2020, who shows great talent, and Danciero, the stable’s newest shooting star, who moved here in spring. At the young horse championships this year, Anna and Danciero won the 6-year-old final, while Anna and Everian won the 7-year-old final. Everian was awarded 9.2 for capacity, 9 for walk and trot, 9.2 for canter and 8.9 for rideability. Danciero received the top mark of 10 for his walk, 8.7 for trot and canter and 8.9 for capacity. Rosie K., Roxette, Ibi-Alabast and homebred Vaiana also made it to the championships, where they all progressed to the finals.

In the breeding department, a total of 11 foals were born in 2022, and four of them entered a foal show, where three went to the final and two of them stood out and were selected for the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Show, which was held in Herning during the World Equestrian Games in August . The two foals were Galiya F with Vitalis as sire and Hesselhøj Donkey Boy as damsire and Vivaro F with Vitalis as sire and Sunny Boy as damsire. In September, Rosie K. (Revolution x Blue Hors Romanov), Belissima (For Emotion x Björsells Briar) and Fortuna (Fidertranz x Flemmingh) were all endorsed in Danish Warmblood with the grade of 8. In addition, Rosie K was awarded an ‘R’ due to her aptitude test result, and Lady Lou has been approved as elite mare. In the breeding department, we also had the pleasure of a group of visiting breeders from Region 6 in Danish Warmblood on their annual breeder excursion for a tour at the stables and intriguing professional chats about horse breeding.

This year, Future Dressage has also been approved as an internship host for horse management students, and in September we welcomed Emma Bruun Christensen, who is now a student in the breeding department. The sports department will also get a student when Caroline Slipsager Aebeloe, who has been a groom at the same place since 2021, starts in a student position in February 2023. There have been a few changes in the staff group, where we have said goodbye to Josefine Hoffmann. Instead, Frederikke Gram Jacobsen has joined as rider, while Stine Dam Andersen has returned from maternity leave. In 2023 we can also welcome Tim Wollesen Kejlstrup as team leader of the sports department.

Unfortunately, we had to tragically say goodbye to the young talented mare Unna, but we are happy that she lives on in two embryo foals that will be born in 2023. In the coming year, we look forward to welcoming a total of 10 new foals in the breeding department, while three young horses are ready to be ridden. And we are not least looking forward to showing our horses on the event tracks at home and abroad.

We would like to send our best wishes and a huge thank you to sponsors and partners for support in the past year, and we wish all sponsors, partners and friends of Future Dressage a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
