Russian Sidneva’s Fuhur sold to Anna

Anna Kasprzak are now the proud owner of the ten year old gelding Fuhur.

A new member of the Kasprzak Dressage Family has arrived in the stables in Haderslev. Ten year old Fuhur, who until now was owned and ridden by Russian European Championship rider Elena Sidneva, is from now on Anna’s to ride and develop. Earlier this year Sidneva and Fuhur delivered great results at the European Championship in Rotterdam in August.

The purchase was facilitated by Anna’s long term coach Andreas Helgstrand, who introduced Anna to Fuhur by sending her videos of the horse in training asking if it had any interest. Later on Anna and Andreas went to Austria, where Sidneva lives, to see Fuhur in real life.

“There is a height difference between Elena and I, which made Fuhur a bit confused in the beginning. He did not totally understand my signals in some exercises, but all in all we understand each other and we are getting better together,” Anna says about riding her new star.

She describes Fuhur as sweet, calm and very “easy going”.

“He won’t get mad if there is anything, he doesn’t understand, and I am sure we will become great friends.”

Their time is now spend getting to know each other, but looking at Fuhur’s accomplishments with Elena Sidneva, where the results were 72.950 % in Grand Prix and 72.568 in Grand Prix Special, Anna is not afraid to dream big on behalf of Fuhur and her.

“I am not keeping it as any secret that naturally I am thinking of Tokyo 2020. I am aware of my tough and capable competitors as there are only three spots, but it won’t hurt trying to get one of them. But right now I am just excited with my new talent in the stable, and I am looking forward to compete with him, and then we will see where it takes us,” Anna says.
